Monitor Lizard is a female white-throated monitor (a subspecies of rock monitor [simply called a monitor lizard]) who appeared in the episode "Dinosaurs" as the mystery animal. When Zoboomafoo first saw her, he thought she was a dinosaur. But even though she is not a dinosaur, Martin says she (the monitor lizard) looks a lot like a dinosaur. The way Monitor Lizard walked on 4 legs reminded Chris of the dinosaur Brontosaurus, and her sharp teeth reminded Martin of the dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Rex.

- In Dinosaurs, the monitor lizard is referred as a female, but Zoboo mistakes the lizard as a male when he says "But, he's going" as the creature leaves Animal Junction.
